Anyone growing freshwater Rotifers? I am looking to start a culture for fry (PM me or let us all know). Also interested in other cultures like microworms, blackworms...not a fan glassworms; they don't seem as beneficial for good coloring.

Otherwise, what are people growing to supplement the their fish diet? I do have Rapashy for shrimp and fry but looking for live freshwater to help color up and condition my stock. During the summer, I did feed them mosquito larvae. But that source is gone. Which is fine.

Thanks for your comments.

Forest Lake Pets had them! $3.99 for 20. I am now growing algae and rotifers; hopefully.

Astaxanthin is probably the best keto-carotenoid to induce shades of yellow through red. Astaxanthin is available as a powder to add to homemade diets. It is also found in shrimp, krill and other natural foods.
