Come to the meeting in December, and you can join. Then you can attend the plant sale the next day. There were a lot of nice plants last year. Lots of basics and a bunch of more advanced/rarer stuff, too.

Joining MAS is supporting the club and hobby in your area. It only cost like $1.25 a month Smile Once you attended and get fish and plants for practically free, you will never want to miss another meeting and could potentially turned your whole basement into a fishroom. Addiction to fish & plants you could be hahaha .... I would love to get to the meeting early but work and family has made it hard form me to get there and early to mingle.

Cheers,
Doug

The darter hunt was mentioned in passing as a benefit.

It is the best benefit of membership in my opinion but so few took advantage.

BAP auctions are a bonus. Getting a bag full of cute little cichlids for two dollars is incredible.

I joined to buy plants, but I renew for darter hunts and BAP auctions!

And it really is a great group of people. I've missed a few meetings this year because of other obligations, and I've really missed the people even more than the fish, plants and programs.

Actually Willie, you are a perfect example of what I am trying to say here. When I was attending my first fish show banquet some years ago, you invited me to sit at your table, and I had a wonderful time. You introduced me to others and invited me over to see your fish room - and discuss the care and maintenance of "artificial varieties". Wink Thanks Willie!

Very Happy Sue

I am thinking of joining MAS. I live way south of the cities so I wouldn't be able to make many of the monthly meeting but am looking forward to the show in April. I cruised over to the MAS website to get more info on joining. Looks like I need to print out the form and send in the money. Has anyone thought about making it possible to pay via paypal or something on the website? Just thought it would make things a lot easier and the easier something is the more people will do it. Just a thought.

Membership forms should be available at any MAS function. Also to save time the membership form is on the website too. So if you were so inclined you could download it, print it out and have it filled out in advance. Membership is only $15 for either individual or family membership. The form and payment may also be mailed to the address on the form.

Thanks.

Seriously, MAS does not carry out on line money exchange and is not planning on changing for some time into the future.

Hey Bob.........
Online payments work. Just wanted to toss that out there...

I was wondering if we get a MAS Memebership card or some kind of proof
that we are truely a member. I signed up and paid couple weeks ago but
haven't seen anything in the mail or... Confused

Thanks much, - Brian
