Im in. Sounds like a great idea, plenty of
guppies around my place. I have purple moscows, half black yellows, and dwarf pandas.

I have the framework for this website done, but it is rather plain. I would like to work on the theme / style next. Does anyone have pics of their own guppies that I can use for the site? It would be nice to use members photos when building the theme rather than stock photos from the internet if we can.
You can email them to me or send me links to them or if you need a spot to upload them to, contact me and I can provide a host.

email: john@guppygeek.net

thanks!

Great! I'll update this thread with a link to the website as soon as it is ready. It pretty much works, but I want to make sure that the registration process goes smoothly.
I'm looking for pictures of guppies that people wouldn't mind me using on the site. If anyone has any that I can use, please send them my way

thanks!

The pilot website is ready for registrations. It would be nice if we can get some people to register on it so that I can test a few things like notifications and newsletters and permissions.
I have talked with a designer about the header and logo and should have something shortly.
In the meantime, the site is pretty plain.
Once we have enough member's guppy photos, I'll get to work on adding to the home page
The forum works too.
I'll start a new thread in the other clubs section when the website is more presentable
I welcome any feedback!

The site is http://www.mfgc.org

Cheers!

It's been a crazy summer. I am picking this back up again.
Those of you that registered should be getting an email from me this week outlining some next steps and a call for suggestions and help.

It looks like there is a problem on the registration page for new registrations. I'm working on that.

I would like to set up a first meeting for brainstorming and to see what we all want to get out of this club.
I live just north of Rochester and I believe that most of you live north of here , closer to the cities. I'm looking for a place to hold our first meeting. If you have some suggestions, please send them my way

I'll also start a thread in the Clubs section too.

Cheers!

John

Awesome! I should be making progress with this group soon. I've been doing unexpected travel this fall, but I think most of it is behind me.

I will try to get some pics up at some time. I picked them up at the MAS auction.. There were others that I wanted but went for more than what I wanted to spend on them. I was about more excited with my new endlers and shrimp though. My main goal was endlers and shrimp. But I just couldn't pass up the guppies that I got and the price was very right!
