I just got into killies about a year and a half ago or so. Some of them, like the Fundulopanchax sp, seem to be very gregarious, but the Aphyosemion sp that I've tried so far seem to be pretty shy, even with abundant floating plants and frequent water changes. I'd like to see them more often (naturally), and I was wondering if anybody uses dithers to bring them out? If so, what do you use for dithers?

I would think any of the nano barbs, tetras or microdevarios would be ok. Or possibly some of the smaller badis (scarlet, buxar or rubra). You might not get very many eggs or fry though as many of the aforementioned critters are micro predators. Good luck.

I was concerned about the dithers eating eggs and fry. Although, I could always remove pairs to a separate spawning tank for reproduction and then house them with dithers when I just want to look at them....
