The stand is strong enough and it'll work for a triple stack if you put the top tank on top. To do so would mean you have to have high ceilings since the stand is 6' tall.

In a double stack, the top horizontal element may block the glass lids on the upper tank(s) from opening completely. I have a steel rack with two 75's and I don't use the top horizontal element because it interferes with the opening on the top tank. With 1,500 LB of water pushing down though, my rack is very stable.
