Hello,

Haven’t posted here for several years.. I’ve had a Midas (Amphilophus citrinellus) of the barred variety for several years . He must be close to 12 years. Today he’s floating one side up. Appears to have trouble swimming. He’s never been this way. Appears to look like a swim bladder issue. I guess I’m not sure what I’m looking for here. Maybe some expertise with old fish, remedies or possibly condolences.. thanks in advance

Euthanasia is best for this fish.
In younger fish antibiotics may cure some swim bladder infections but not here.
Condolences on losing your fish.

That’s a tough pill to swallow, but I appreciate it.
