Hello! Just recently got into the hobby this past fall and have quickly come down with a serious case of MTS. Planted 29g, planted 10g and itty bitty 2.5g. College budget and fish keeping do not mix well

Thanks for joining.

Be sure to check out auction on April 30. Likely to find some good prices as some folks will be cutting back or getting out of hobby due to Summer.

Bob is right. The freshwater fish hobby doesn't have to be expensive. Used equipment is dirt cheap or even free sometimes. Fish can be obtained from other hobbyists for little. It's true that you can walk into a pet store and spend a stack, but you don't have to.

The MAS auction is hit or miss if you are looking for something very specific, but the hits are much less expensive that you could find elsewhere. If your open to different options, you are almost certain to find some hits among the 800+ items typically auctioned.

Welcome aboard!
Andy

Your tanks aren't too small. Your fish are too big.
