Just got a free aquarium. I could not pass it up. At a close look it has scratches. They are not deep but i can see them when im close up. 1. when filled with water will they be as noticed and 2. is it worth trying to buff out with cerium oxide?

If tank is glass scratches are difficult to see with water in tank, then do not buff them out.
If tank is acrylic, they can and should be buffed out. Be sure to use the correct materials for acrylic buffing to prevent more damage.
