Is there any harm these would have on fish? The other day I noticed my fish in a feeding frenzy. I fed the 2 hours before. Looked closer and saw they were tearing apart a box elder that fell in. I have angels , rummy nose and red eye tetras.

I fed them occasionally. Never noticed any problems after feeding one or two. Never more often than 2 weeks apart. Did not delibrately keep it two weeks between feedings. Fish did not seem overly interested in BE bugs so no effort on my part to collect and fed them.

You just have to be careful of any pesticides they may be carying. If anyone around you place or you have sprayed pesticide they could have it on them. That would kill your fish. It is something you have to watch out for with all wild insects.
