Freeze dried brine shrimp -- any good?

Just for fun, I picked up some Hikari freeze dried brine shrimp.

The container claims "All the benefits of live brine shrimp including higher desirable fatty acid levels."

My fish seem to like it, but it's also a bit on the pricey side.

Any thoughts on the merits of such freeze dried live food?

I just lazily fed some of this stuff to a couple fish. Live brine shrimp requires too much damn effort.

you can also buy the SF Bay packets...they are also a big chunk of money in the long run but are good for the person not wanting to raise them by the mass. I use them for starting fry since they are usually a lil smaller than normal bbs....you place packet in water, cover, place cup thingy on top. then set it and forget it (j/k that was that infomercial phrase) but for real you just come back to it a day or so later and there should be a bunch that swam up in the top cup you can just dump into the tank. We have a nightlight above our lil hatchery so we dont have to leave a light on all night to draw them up

I like freeze dried krill and large shrimps for larger fish. An alternative to spending a lot of money for freeze dried, is buy shrimp at grocery store when on sale and feed that to fish.
