Vinegar eel culture

Got a starter culture at the auction. Do you guys dilute your vinegar at all? Do I add anything else?

50% distilled water, 50% apple cider vinegar, slices of apple and you're ready to go. That's it. I refreshed my culture by adding some more apples and more mix after keeping the culture for over six months. I haven't done anything but feed them to the fish in that time. Easiest darn culture I've seen.

Yeah, my first vinager eel culture I used regular tap water with. Luckily Dani gave me a new starter. :D
