I have a mini tank with a betta in it. I have had the betta for a couple of years. Recently I decided to get some cherry shrimp to add to the tank, knowing that it's possible that the betta may eat them. I purchased the cherry shrimp and some moss (I think it was Java moss) about a month ago. Just the other night I noticed a new critter in the mini tank. I think it might be some sort of hitchhiker that came with the moss, as it wasn't in the tank before. It's flat and kind of translucent. All I see it do is move around on the glass. I have no idea what it is and am wondering if anyone on the forum knows what it is?

Depending on the magnification, that sure looks like a planaria.
