Winter Auction

The MAS auction begins on Wednesday, 1/13, and runs through the following Wednesday, 1/20. MAS members can bid through the MAS auction site, http://www.aquarium.mn. This auction includes fish, shrimp, plants and hard goods. Brand new items: books, lights, accessories, food, donated by national manufacturers to MAS will be available at a > 50% discount.

Sorry to respond so late, Gary. Looks like you've gotten to a minimum bid level, so these directions are for other auction participants.

Randy coded an Autobid system for our auction and it has multiple applications.

* If you're the SELLER, you click on Autobid to set the minimum price.
* If you're the BUYER, you click on Autobid to set your maximum bid.

It's a very slick system and I'm not aware of any other fish club that has something like this in place. Of course, the explanation could have been better...

Also, we open the MAS Shop in conjunction with the auction. As usual we'll have fish bags (and rubber bands), T-shirts, brine shrimp eggs and MAS swag.

For this auction, we're also going to have glass worms! (We just finalized the details, so it may not get listed for a few hours.) Glass worm is a seasonal live food that is extremely easy to handle. These are collected from frozen lakes so supply is sporadic. There's no guarantee that we'll be able to stock glass worms in future auctions. There's a limited supply so don't wait to order.

All the MAS SHOP items you purchase will also be available at Lutheran Redemption Church distribution on Saturday, January 23.

Just went over 200 items for sale. Given the limit on hard goods and a $5 minimum to filter out junk, the virtual auction is approaching the old MAS in-person auctions. And that doesn't include the items in the MAS Shop. Drop offs and pick ups next Saturday (1/23) at the old auction location.
