What kind of fish did I buy?

I think it's a Danio of some kind.

I have this fish in my tank. It is surely white cloud mountain minnow. They are cold water species, thrive at 22 C temperature. Also keep them in a group of 6-8. They mostly swim in the upper area of my tank.

If you want to start of the fishkeeping hobby then select some beautiful species which is most popular in the freshwater aquarium today.

1. Neon Tetra

2. Guppies

3. Oscar

4. Mollies

5. Zebra Danios

6. Platies

7. Cherry Barb

Do not place Oscars in same tank as the other fish on the list.

That's true. Oscars are grouchy towards smaller fish.
