Last night I was examining my 45 and noticed a baby Kerri tetra swimming around! Now that the tetras have demonstrated their proclivities, I suppose I'll be setting up a breeder for them.

No question, just bragging :D

With any luck you'll soon have more than you know what to do with. If you don't already have some, you might want to get cultures of green water and microworms started before you get the spawning started. The fry are very small and very hungry once they absorb their yolk sacks.

Congratulations on the first one, and don't be surprised to find that there are a few more hiding out in that 45.

Your tanks aren't too small. Your fish are too big.

Thanks for the advice. I have microworm cultures but not green water. Maybe I can get some at the MAS meeting.

It's entirely possible that there are more in there. The tank is extremely heavily planted.
